Holme Fen NNR

Probably the best few hours spent in a hide. We saw Merlin, Great Grey Shrike, 4 Short-eared Owls, 2 Barn Owls and Marsh Harrier.

Apart from a distant male Hen Harrier, there was little to get excited about until sunset. As the sun began to set, hundreds of Starlings and thousands of Carrion Crow took to the sky, adding to the magical views. The photo below was taken with my phone.
