Seahouses

We've had a fantastic week at Seahouses. The weather, wildlife and scenery were all incredible.

Hyde Park

Little Owl! Persistence pays off. I spent almost half an hour trying to find the Little Owl in its tree, and was about to accept another failed attempt at finding it. Very pleased with the photo as well because of difficulties with the light and it was only looking at me like this for about ten seconds.

Update

Young Great Spotted Woodpecker

I've taken a quick break from revision to share this photo and some sightings. The bird has been fed by both parents in our garden for the past week. We have also had more baby Blue Tits and Great Tits than ever, a baby Goldfinch and sightings of Bullfinch, Coal Tit and Jay (which have all become a rarity recently). The Mallards are back this summer demanding bird food every day! I've also seen many Buzzards, Red Kites and Sparrowhawks flying over, and a possible Hobby.
