RSPB Fowlmere

What a day! After seeing the butterflies at Oughtonhead, we went on to Fowlmere and saw so much. We saw and heard a single Turtle Dove, have the most incredible close-up views of at least two Kingfishers and saw a Barn Owl in the box for the first time.

  1. Excellent that you saw a Turtle Dove there, it's always fun to spot one and i was lucky to film one there last month, again in one of the dead trees, the one near the Barn Owl Box :)

For me just hearing them purr when i visit there is enough to make me feel better and hope that the species can be saved :)
