I am a third-year student studying Mathematics at the University of Surrey and have always had an interest in wildlife photography. A few years ago I raised £500 for the RSPB by selling greetings cards with my photos on and won the Thomson Habitats Photography Competition.

Barn Owl
My last bird seen in 2011 was...a Barn Owl! We had great views of one hunting and perched on the A1 junction roundabout in Letchworth at 22:30. Great views of my favourite bird to end the year.
