I am a third-year student studying Mathematics at the University of Surrey and have always had an interest in wildlife photography. A few years ago I raised £500 for the RSPB by selling greetings cards with my photos on and won the Thomson Habitats Photography Competition.

Burwell Fen
Short-Eared Owl - we saw just the one owl (up to 15 had been seen recently on the fen) and it was quite distant, so the photos are not very sharp.
