Little Owl. This version has been edited in Photoshop by a friend, with obvious difference in quality. The file size has been restricted so it cannot be enlarged, so I have left the non-edited version on the blog as well.
Little Owl. Driving through Sandon, something caught my eye in a tree just metres from the road. We reversed up and I found what I had seen - I had a feeling it was an owl. Whilst taking photos I still wasn't certain what it was but when I saw it's neck turn I knew it was a Little Owl. It then flew out of the tree and I got a great view of it flying close to the car. Amazing! The light was fading so the photo isn't very sharp - but still pleased with the result
