I am a third-year student studying Mathematics at the University of Surrey and have always had an interest in wildlife photography. A few years ago I raised £500 for the RSPB by selling greetings cards with my photos on and won the Thomson Habitats Photography Competition.

Patience is the key
After numerous attempts to attract a Robin to feed from the seed in my hand, my uncle got this photograph of one landing on my hand at Titchwell
